About The Event

Topic: Stories from the Field: Translating Scripture Around the Corner

Speaker: Marilina

We know people need God's Word in their language, but how does this happen? How do we go from the church's desire to have God's word to a printed New Testament? Join us as Marilina shares with us her experience facilitating a New Testament translation in a place not very far from Singapore.

About the speaker:

Marilina is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Together with her husband Guillermo, they served in Southeast Asia for 17 years. They facilitated a New Testament translation and helped produce other books and educational resources in local languages. During that time they adopted three children, becoming a family with more Asians than Argentinians. They currently live in Buenos Aires and continue to serve translation teams as Scripture Translation consultants. Marilina is also the Board Chair of Letra Argentina, an organization member of the Wycliffe Global Alliance.
